Modern Slavery

Commitment

This is the Modern Slavery Transparency Statement of MCCORMICKCO Limited for the financial year ending 30 June 2022, made pursuant to s.54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. MCCORMICKCO Limited is committed to combatting all forms of Modern Slavery.

We recognise that all businesses have a responsibility to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in their businesses or supply chains.

Our Business and Supply Chains

We are committed to continuous improvement in our practices. We aim to recruit and place candidates in line with our company values and will carry out sufficient identity checks (BPSS) to validate our employee’s documentation.

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking and expect all those in our supply chain and contractors to comply with our values. Our sole office is in Nottinghamshire, and we have less than 10 employees at present.

Policies and Due Diligence

We have the following policies which incorporate ethical standards for our staff and our workers:

  • Anti-corruption and bribery
  • Equal opportunities
  • Training
  • Bullying and harassment
  • Whistleblowing Policy
  • Modern Slavery Policy (recently put in place)

Prior to employment or subcontracting, all candidates are interviewed, and BPSS checks are completed. We carry out annual reviews, and if necessary, recomplete BPSS checks dependent on the nature of an employee’s role or any relevant concerns from management.

Further Steps

Following a review of the effectiveness of the steps we have taken, we intend to take the following further steps to combat slavery and human trafficking:

  • Expanding due diligence on new suppliers.
  • Provide modern slavery training to all staff.
